Storytelling Activities for Kids

Storytelling helps children organize ideas, grow vocabulary and share how they see the world. Here are easy ways to practice together.

1. Beginning, middle, end

Ask your child who the hero is, what problem they face, and how it gets solved.

2. Story dice

Draw three random things, like a dragon, a bus and a cake, and build a story that connects them.

3. Retell a favorite book

Have your child retell a book in their own words, then change the ending.

4. Write and publish

Let your child plan and type a short book in Pandi Story Builder, then read it aloud together.
