1. Information we collect
1.1 You provide directly
- Account info: name, email, password (hashed), parent birth year, child name and age, city/state.
- Profile and preferences: notification settings, journal entries, feedback.
- Payment info if you subscribe (handled by our payment processor — we never store full card numbers).
1.2 Collected automatically
- Device, browser, operating system, language, and approximate region (from IP).
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, session duration, error logs.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 6.
1.3 From third parties
- If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo.
- From payment processors: subscription status and last-4 of card.
2. How we use information
- To provide, secure, and improve Calmiverse.
- To authenticate you and protect against fraud.
- To process subscriptions and send transactional email (receipts, security alerts).
- To send product updates if you opt in (you can unsubscribe anytime).
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train external AI models.
3. Legal bases (EU/UK users)
- Contract: to deliver the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, product improvement.
- Consent: marketing emails, optional analytics cookies.
- Legal obligation: tax, accounting, lawful requests.
4. Sharing
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers (hosting, database, email, error monitoring, payments) under contracts that limit use to operating Calmiverse.
- Authorities when required by valid legal process.
- Successors in a merger or acquisition (you'll be notified).
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. EU/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.
Email operations@sunrisingsolutions.com from your account email to make a request. We respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies (authentication, security) and, with consent, basic analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. We do not use advertising cookies. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.
7. Data retention
We keep account data while your account is active and for a short period after closure to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
8. International transfers
Calmiverse is operated from the United States. Where we transfer EU/UK personal data, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. Security
We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest, role-based access controls, and regular reviews. No method is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users of material breaches as required by law.
10. Changes
We will post any changes here and, for material changes, notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
